Former Blacksox star taken in the 17th round… Ben Smith (Blacksox Alum) was taken in the 17th round of the MLB Draft by the Houston Astros. Smith, one of the top LHP’s of the 2014 class, just completed his junior season at Coastal Carolina University.
Brannon Easterling (Blacksox Alum) was taken in the 20th round of the MLB Draft by the Chicago White Sox. Easterling, a hard throwing 6’4″ RHP, played collegiately this past season at St. Edwards University.
