MEET OUR STAFF

Mickey Cornelius
Mickey CorneliusGeneral Manager
Mickey has been general manager of the Blacksox organization for over 35 years. For over 4 decades he has helped young men become great leaders, mentors, and true ambassadors of the sport of baseball. Mickey has a great recollection of each of his players. To him they are not just players but truly members of his family.
Diane Bigford
Diane BigfordAdministrative Assistant
Diane has been working with the Blacksox organization since 2002. She handles registration and player relations. Diane loves baseball and has had two sons who have gone through the Blacksox program. Her daughter Halie is an invaluable asset to the organization also. When not at the office you'll find Diane at the baseball field.

Strength & Conditioning

There are fundamental principles that must be considered when preparing yourself for a sport. Baseball presents some very unique challenges in regards to athlete preparation. Our strength & conditioning program aims to prepare you for the sport of baseball.

Pitching Program & Development

Our coaching staff will work to enhance your developing pitching skills. Through a rigorous summer game schedule you will be well prepared for the mental and physical strains of playing at the next level.

Baseball Facilities & Lodging

Our indoor training facilities will help each player develop those skills which will improve them into a well rounded baseball player. Our lodging facilities allow for a unique team bonding experience. These two factors work together to form great teamwork and friendships.

Teamwork Development

Teamwork is stressed in every aspect of Blacksox baseball. Great teams develop, they are not made instantly. Throughout the summer the training helps the individual develop but the atmosphere and Blacksox experience creates great teams. These teams go on to do great things on and off of the baseball diamond.
